She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lonzie Smith and Bessie Mae White Smith; and her husband William Howard Hatter. She is survived by: her sons, Andrew Bayne (Ema) and Richard Hatter; and her siblings, Edna Johns, Hilda Howell, Rebecca Crowson, Benjaman Smith (Mary Ann), Mary Jarvis and James Smith (Fay). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
