He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozell Bethune and Tola Bell Hurst Bethune; his wife Evelina Poore Bethune; and his siblings, Joann Ellis and Junior Bethune.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Tinker (Randall) and Keena Chapman (Dwight); his grandchildren, Nicholas Tinker (Erica), Danielle Varnell (Brian), Kyler, Paisley and Cambree Chapman; his great grandchildren, Ansleigh and Truett Varnell; and his siblings, Manila Mays (Michael) and Larry Bethune (Rhena). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
