She was predeceased by: her husband James F. "Big Jim" Cothren; and her siblings, Virginia Batey, Frank C. Hayle and William D. Hayle. She is survived by: her children, Paula Wrye (Kenneth) and James F. "Fred" Cothren Jr. (Bonita); her grandchildren, Bradley A. Cothren (LeAnne), Britney A. Bowers (Kevin), Betsy B. Hughes (Jayce) and Bailey A. Cothren; her great grandchildren, Hudson Hughes, Beau Bowers and Annie Brooke Bowers; and her caregivers, Patricia Wood, Leslie, Rhonda and Doris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
