He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Meredith Sr. and Geraldine Lovins Meredith; and his brother Benjamin Meredith Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Meredith; his children, Mary Tucker, Emily Meredith, Violet Witcher, James Meredith Jr. (Lasha), Michael Meredith (Courtney) and Matthew Meredith; his grandchildren, James Meredith III, Timothy Meredith, Breanna Meredith, Jake Meredith, Nate Meredith, Allysa Tucker, Aiden Tucker, Baylie Glaze and Allyson Meredith; his sister Pamela Wheeler; and his pet Gizmo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
