He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lonnie and Bertha Viola Bailey Stiefel; his son Jeremy Stiefel; and his brothers, Johnnie Stiefel and Tommie Stiefel.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Overdear Stiefel.
