He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Campbell Guthrie; his parents, Bill Guthrie and Clara Guthrie; and his brothers, Thomas, Bob and Frank Guthrie.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie (Charles Yarbrough), Bill Jr. (Karen Guthrie), Mark (Joanne Guthrie) and Linda (Karl Wilson); and his siblings, Dovie Sledge and Jack. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
