She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Hicks; her parents, Ozell Summerford Lincoln and Leland Lincoln; and her grandson John Austin Hicks. She is survived by: her children, Nelda Hicks McCabe (Harry), Ray Hicks (Lanh) and Tony Hicks; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hicks Sperco (Paul), Mikaila Hicks, Mary Gilroy (Michael), Krista O'Brien (Ed) and Patrick McCabe (Kayla); and her great grandchildren, Logan Gilroy and Baby Girl O'Brien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, Hazel Green, Alabama.
