He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Kathy Whisenant; his brother Lawrence Young Whisenant; his sister-in-law Connie Whisenant; his parents-in-law, Perry and Bertha Wells; and his brother William Whisenant.
He is survived by: his wife Lovell Wells Whisenant; his son Craig; his daughter-in-law Laura Whisenant; his daughter Jenna; his son-in-law Jeff Cowart; his son Jerod; his daughter-in-law Bridgett Whisenant; his son Devon Whisenant; his grandchildren, Jake House, Jarrett Fanning, Zeke Whisenant, Jessa Fanning, Kylee Whisenant and Kara Whisenant; his sister Rebecca Brandon; his siblings-in-law, Roberta, Curtis Pendergrass and Terrell Wells; and his aunts, Eva Louise Sisk and Dorothy Sims Tully. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
