He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Meeks and Bertie Meeks; and his siblings, Lucille Kruszewski, Margaret Balch and Edward Meeks.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Meeks; his children, Cindy Hyatt (Steve), Bruce Meeks (Tina) and Angie Kilgore (Mark); his grandchildren, Josh, Summer, Jessica, Bubba and Taylor; and his sister Juanita Lightsey. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
