She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Grady" Gentle and Effie Frazier Gentle; her husband Murray E. Dean; and her siblings, Lois Gentle, Doris Stewart and Kenneth Gentle.

She is survived by: her daughter Myra Dean Keel (Jerry Keel); and her grandchildren, Jamie Keel Sanders (Buford Sanders II), Anna Keel Taylor (Edgar Taylor Jr.), Skyler Dean Taylor (Samantha Kolesar Taylor), Wyatt Keel Sanders and Lily Grace Sanders.
