She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hale and Lula Mae Fogg Hale; her husband Clyde J. Bates; and her siblings, Arnelus Hale, Duff Hale, Mae Attrice Hardin and Mary Lee Clemons.
She is survived by: her children, Joestus Bates (Amy), Billy Ray Bates (Teresa), Nellie Jenkins (JR) and Brenda Davis (Michael); her brother Thomas Hale Arthur (Patsy); and her great grandchildren, Travis Kent, Daniel Starr, Brad Slate, Jason Marbut, Michael Davis, Gary Stinnett and Jenkins.
