He was predeceased by: his wife Dianna K. Patterson; his grandson Sam Hinkle; and his parents, Dub Patterson and Nina Patterson. He is survived by: his daughter Julia Amanda Crandall (Jeff); his stepsons, Barry Scott Hinkle and Anthony Glenn Hinkle (Sissy); his grandsons, Ben Hinkle, Sean Riley Hinkle, Joshua Daniel Johnson and Michael Bradley Saint; and his sister Diane Hutchinson (James).
In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to (DAV) Disabled American Veterans.
