He was predeceased by: his former wife Lillian Price Bell; and his siblings, Haskell, Dotsy, Joan and Leagwen.

He is survived by: his wife Svetlana Rushkova Bell; his son Lindy G. Bell, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Kristina Sandt Bell; and his sisters, Doris Bell Corrie of Keyser, WV and Joyce Bell Boggs of Knoxville, TN.
