He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Edward Motes, Sr. and Lillie Bea Motes (Williams); and his brother Raymond Edward Motes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Motes; his children, Greg Motes (Jennifer) and Tami Galloway; his stepson Chris Bell (Buffy); his grandchildren, Emily, Ashley Motes, Jarrod, Braydon Galloway, Layla, Harrison, Mason and Cathryn Bell; and his siblings, James Erskine Motes and Shirley Faye Knight. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
