He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Fay Childress; his children, Joel Childress (Laura), Carolyn Watters (James) and Angela Dotson; his brother Bobby Ray Childress; and his grandchildren, Aleisha Bryant, Jesse Smith, Hannah Childress, Parker Childress, Ashleigh Buxton and Sarah Burgess. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
