She was predeceased by: her husband Edward F Nelson; her parents, Otis Jackson and Gertie Jackson; and her sisters, Geraldine Candler and Reba Prater.
She is survived by: her daughters, Louise Brooks (Dile) and Lynne Skinner (Anthony); her grandchildren, Selene Rice (Larry), Heather Cope, Jennifer Wolford (Clay) and Tommy Candler (Michele); and her brother Ronald Jackson (Audrey). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
