He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Mae Hammond (Burke) and Ernest Colbert Hammond; and his brothers, Hanley William Hammond and Homer Manuel Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Kim Hammond of Pulaski, Tennessee, Hanley Hammond of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Amy Hammond Childress of Rainsville; and his grandchildren, Chelsey Childress White (Dereck) of Henagar and Levi Childress of Dawson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to Shepherd's Cove Hospice or Highway Cemetery.
