He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Safford and Jean Safford; and his brother Thomas Safford. He is survived by: his wife Martha Sue; and his children, Diana Turner (Eric), Julie Lane (Trey) and James Safford (Kayla). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
