He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Brantley and Lena Mae Brantley; and his siblings, Carolyn Bishop, Edgar Brantley, Ralph Brantley, Billy Brantley and Bert Brantley.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Ernest E. Bishop (Bub) and Evelyn Brantley; and his nieces, Carolyn Odom (Penny), Sandra Lee (Danny) and Donna Dowsey. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairhope Christian Church located in Fairhope, Alabama in Sonny's memory.
