He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nix and Aline Nix; and his sister Betty Ann Kotter. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Nix; his children, Philip Nix (Jenifer) and Jennifer Snipes (Darren); his grandchildren, Scooter, Madi, Alexa, Jami and Kendal; his sister Zona Dubose; his sister-in-law Tressa Sinclair (Kevin); and his close friend Lisa Lagergren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
