He was predeceased by: his father W. E. Brackin of Foley, Alabama; and his siblings, Michael "Mike" Brackin of Gulfport, Mississippi and Karen B. Murphy of Jacksonville, Florida.. He is survived by: his mother Alice Brackin of Jacksonville, Florida; his wife Janet Brackin of Elberta, Alabama; his daughters, Charmaine Deviena Newton (Chris) of Santa Barbara and Jillian A. Brackin of Pensacola, Florida; his stepson Ryan Phillips of Elberta, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Jay Smedley, Miranda Edwards, Reagan Edwards, Danica Stevens, Donnay Stevens, Anya Newton, Emiline Newton and Brielle Newton. He is also survived by three nephews and three nieces.
