He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Black and Bertha Mae Black; his wife Bernice Black; his son Kenny Black; and his sister Joan Hood of Clinton, MS..
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Ashley of Pontotoc, MS; and his granddaughter Sadie L. Black of Pell City, AL. He is also survived by two nieces, four nephews, as well as several extended family.
