It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Hodge of Elba, Alabama, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Luther Walden and Elda Scarbrough Walden; her husbands, Ford Stanton, Charles Davis and Fletcher Hodge; and her siblings, Gwendolyn Boutwell, Lena Louise Jacobs, Dorothy Elda Smith, Maxine Walden, Barbara Joyce Carter, Rhonda Sue Parker, Luther John Walden and Aubrey Lee Walden.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Nelson (Robert) of Elba, AL, Shery Stanton of Baker, FL, Tina Faulkner (Jim) of Zolfo Springs, FL and Wade Stanton (Nell); her siblings, Betty Jean Miles of Toccoa, GA, Shirley Elaine Slawson of New Brockton, AL and Ronnie Edmund Walden (Shirley); and her grandchildren, Wayne Nelson (Amanda), Paul Nelson (Stacey), Ashley English (Russ), Mathew Nelson (Shay), Randy Stanton (Tammy), Jennifer Stanton, Andoria Cook (Chester), Chris Nelson (Candie) and Derek Vance (Amber). She is also survived by 17 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Day Spring Hospice.
