She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Wayne Abernathy; and her son Rayme Wayne Abernathy. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Renee McDowell (Joe), Kenneth Wayde Abernathy (Andrea) and Dawn Heather Valore (Martin); and her grandsons, Jason Abernathy, Matthew King, Alan King, Jacob Gilliland and Tyler Abernathy. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
