It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Blackmon of Dothan, Alabama, born in Houston, Alabama, who passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Blackmon; his parents, Zack Blackmon and Francis Blackmon; and his siblings, Tom, Tellies (Luevina), Ralph Blackmon (Lucille), Elowese Hamilton, Elizabeth Blackmon and Betty Blackmon.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Blackmon (Gennette) and Felicia B. Kincey (Jeffery). He is also survived by his six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
