He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lou Swart; and his son Richard. He is survived by: his children, James Hardwick, Barbara Collier (Bob), Kenneth Hardwick (Becky), Randy Hardwick and Marcia Miller (Terry). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; one sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the First Baptist Church of Hobart in memory of Nolan.
