He is survived by: his wife Julie Davis Welborn of Daphne; his children, John Michael Welborn (Suzy) of Clanton and Alexis McCarthy of Daphne; his stepdaughters, Catherine Smith (Sean) of Gulfport, MS and Molly McCarthy of Winterhaven, FL; and his grandchildren, Katherine Welborn, John Mark Welborn, Christian Smith, Collin Smith and Caroline Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
