Dianne Marie Dispoto (59) the daughter of James S. Galletta and preceded in death by her mother Luella M. (Craig) Galletta, went to be with the Lord in the early hours of June 2, 2023. Her strength and tenacity were evident in her fight with cancer as it was throughout her life.

Born at MacDill AFB in Tampa Florida on June 12, 1963, the daughter in a military family she had many places to call home. She was a graduate of Caribou High School in Maine, class of 1981. She was a career woman and mother to five children, three stepchildren, and eight grandchildren. She proclaimed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida where she was a member.

Dianne had a long career with the Internal Revenue Service. She was a customer service representative for many years and excelled in her work. Her intelligence and fantastic memory made her a natural for the job. She held several positions during her time there. She was the department's Temporary Supervisor on several occasions as well as a Trainer to other employees. Dianne was one of only four, Subject Matter Expert in her field and their only Quality Subject Matter Expert. She retired from service with the Internal Revenue in 2020 and moved to her country home in Alabama in 2021.

Dianne loved a simple and quiet lifestyle. Her back patio was always a go to spot, a cup of coffee and her tablet to read the news and listen to the song birds that would visit. She enjoyed decorating her home, crafting, and crocheting. The beach was also a special place for her whether sunbathing or walking the shoreline collecting shells. She especially loved her time hiking in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee.

Teresa Wheeler wrote a sympathy message

“Dianne was such a funny woman. Her dry wit and sparkling smile lit up many a meeting at the IRS. We tapped each other's brain when we couldn't find the answer in our own head. I know she will continue to live in our memories and I wish love and prayers for all who love her.”
