He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Maxwell and Olive Jewel Payne. He is survived by: his wife Lola Jean Maxwell of Childersburg; his children, David Lowell Maxwell (Gayle), Rev. Joel Robert Maxwell (Karen) of Childersburg and Dr. Marilyn Maxwell Stephens (Rick) of Tuscaloosa; his siblings, James M. Maxwell (Shirley), Harvey E. Maxwell (Judy) of Childersburg and Thelma R. Warlick of Macon, GA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Weed (Trey), Adam Maxwell (Carmen), Nathan Maxwell (Jennifer), Emily Johnson (Austin), Mark White (Anna), Jon Stephens and Joseph Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Abby, Ethan, Gavin, Sebastian, Carmella, Max, Lee, Benjamin and Emma. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
