He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Wendy Hulsey (Joseph McAdams) and Donald Hulsey; his grandchildren, Desirae Hulsey, Cory Hulsey and Tierra Hulsey; his great grandchild Michael Osbourn; his sisters, Patricia Taylor and Linda Maddox (Julian); and his wife Evelyn Hulsey. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
