He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Jackson Barnett and Madolph Saxon Barnett of Goodwater; and his siblings, Carl Jackson Barnett Jr. Robert, Irene Barnett Baird, Jewel Barnett Culberson, Nora Barnett Crabb and Margie Barnett Cannon.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his children, Denise Barnett Dark (Chris) of Dadeville and Al Barnett (Jennifer) of Childersburg; his grandchildren, Zach Dark (Lauren), Juliana Dark, Jackson Barnett and John David Barnett; and his great grandchildren, Sam and Alexandra Dark.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fayetteville Baptist Church building fund.
