He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Jennifer Berryman; and his brothers, Sam, Aubrey, Lee, Emmett and James Hays.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Whitten (David), Gary Hayes and Michael Hayes; his grandchildren, Dale Berryman and Molly Fountain (Matthew); and his brother Ray L. Hays. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
