He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Motes (C.) and Melba Motes; and his brother Roger Dale Motes (Leroy). He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Motes; his brother Ronnie Motes; his children, Richard Cody Motes (Lucy), Meghan Mattson (JJ), Matthew Motes (Debra) and Nathan Motes (Amber); and his grandchildren, Anthony Motes, Jamie and Brycen Mattson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
