He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland C. Gravlee and Mary Wright Gravlee; his brother Dr. Clark Gravlee; and his son Dr. Joseph F. Gravlee, Jr. (Gravlee). He is survived by: his wife Linda Harland Gravlee; his sons, Dr. H. Scott Gravlee and Van C. Gravlee; his nephew Phil Oliver; and also Eileen Nunnelly. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
