It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewel Nelson (Cherokee, Alabama), who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lealon Nelson; her son Jerry Nelson; her parents, Felix Todd and Josie Burns Todd; and her sisters, Gladys, Elora and Susie.
She is survived by: her son Aaron Nelson; her grandchildren, Todd Nelson (Elizabeth), Dean Nelson (Heather), Karon Nelson Murdock (John), Kala Nelson and Sarah Nelson; her great grandchildren, Adam, Abe, Gunner (Brianna), Garrett, Allie, Luke, Aubrie, Colin, Emily, Charles, Evan and Rorie; and her great great grandchild Freya. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
