He was predeceased by: his parents, William Abner McDonald and Alice Vaughn McDonald; and his brothers, J. D., Doug, Will and Bobby.
He is survived by: his son Charles L. McDonald (Patty); his siblings, Billy McDonald and Betty Underwood; his granddaughters, Jenny Tolbert (Joe) and Angela Puckett (Tim); and his great grandchildren, Johnny Tolbert, Joshua Tolbert and Alexis Puckett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
