He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Knopf and Ethel Knopf; and his brothers, Carl, Paul, Ray, Ralph and Joe Knopf.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Murphree Knopf; his children, Amanda Bronner (Ray), Tim Knopf (Sue), Chris Knopf (Lyn) and Samuel "Andy" Knopf; his grandchildren, Rachel, Trevor, Jayson, Duncan and Evelyn Knopf (Evey); his great grandchild Summer Knopf; and his sisters, Helen Jolly and Ethelene Bullard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
