We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2023, at the age of 102, Gertrude Smith Lane of Bynum, Alabama, born in Randolph, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Lane; her children, Wilford Lane and Judy Brasher (Billy); her grandson Eddie Butler; her parents, Mark Oral and Dovie Smith; and her siblings, Thomas, Jack, Oral Jr., Avis, Essie, Ressie and Janis.
She is survived by: her daughter Hilda Butler; her sister Sarah Harland; her grandchildren, Kimberly Crowe (Michael), Kelly Brasher, Karen Diehl (Erich), Joshua Lane (Jennifer), John Lane (Neren), Emily Lane, Sherri Dew (Donald) and Julie Brown; and her daughter-in-law Amy. She is also survived by great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
