He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Mitchell and Leonard Mitchell; and his brother Dennis Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Terri Zammit (David), Sheila Mitchell, Buddy Mitchell (Terri), Chris Mitchell and Danny Mitchell (Holly); his siblings, Teresa Alvarez (Mario) and Mike Mitchell (Dawn); and his sister-in-law Loretta Mitchell. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local Boys & Girls Club Branch.
