It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willis E Gilliland in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Owen and Brookie Mae Gilliland; his siblings, Cecil Gilliland (Nettie Mae), Elvin Gilliland (Jane), Everett Gilliland (Natasha) and Majorie Dennis; and his son Steven Gilliland.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Gilliland; his son Bruce Gilliland (Kelly); his grandsons, Benjamin Gilliland and Daniel Gilliland (Maggie); and his sister Robbie Dean Whetstone (Alex). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Most recently, he was an active member of North Shelby Baptist Church and the family requests memorial donations be made to the Building Fund of North Shelby Baptist Church.
