He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bell Long, Sr. and Willa Walls Long; his wife Betty Williams Long; his son Harold Bell Long III; his grandson Matthew Whatley; and his sisters, Marianne Long and Jeri Long Lyons.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Long Whatley, Suzanne Long Brown (David) and Christopher Harold Long (Sha); his sister Cindy Long Johnson (Jim) of Powell, OH; his grandchildren, Casey Long Ford (Steven), Andrew Whatley, Carley Long (Kevin McElrath), Kristin Long, Christopher Whatley and Kelsey Long Baltzer (Lane); and his great grandchildren, Olivia Whidden, Norah Jane Ford and Rowyn Baltzer. He is also survived by his family and would say that his children and grandchildren.
