It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George A. Gomperts of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father George Gomperts; his wife Claire Willard Gomperts of Virginia; and his siblings, Joseph Gomperts and Barbara Gomperts. He is survived by: his son Robert D. Gomperts.
