We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2022, at the age of 95, Dorothy Ellard Aycock (Birmingham, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Kitty Claire Ellard and John Allen Ellard; her husband James; and her siblings, Bob Ellard of Clarksdale, MS, Mae Catherine Pearsall of Charlotte, NC and John Allen Ellard of Pittsboro, MS..

She is survived by: her sons, Frank Allen of Boone, NC and James Robert of Hoover; her daughters-in-law, Gail Woods Aycock and Ann Gurley Aycock; and her grandchildren, Nathan (Jessica), Joel (Maite), Sarah (Chandler), Bethany (Jereme), Allen (Katie) and Wes (Andrea). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
