It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Earnest (Berry, Alabama), who passed away on June 11, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband J. D. Earnest; her parents, Minnie Alma Smith and Howell Baker; her husband John D. Earnest; her stepsiblings, S. D. Smith, Willie Mae Nesmith, Nadine Guthrie and Pauline Dotson; her half-sisters, Magdalene Guthrie, Arcenia Hershey and Nora Bell Bortolini; and her great grandchild Lori Suzanne Earnest.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmie Earnest (Ethel) of Berry, Johnny Earnest (Kathy) of Berry, Kathleen Medders (Garry) of Berry and Lois Earnest of Berry; and her siblings, A. R. Smith (Patricia Ann) of Carbon Hill, Martha Lee Courtney (Paul) of North Carolina and Rebecca Medders (Barry) of Alvin, TX. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
