He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Pendley and Maggie Frost Pendley; and his brother William Chester Pendley. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean; his children, Jackie Simmons (Don), Darlene Whitson (Wendell), Pam Pendley and Charlene Shepherd (Scott); his siblings, Edna Mae Pendley (Howard), Betty Lou Patton (Phillip), Delores Kimbrell, Milton "Bill" Pendley (Brenda), Kenneth Pendley (Ann), Martha Wyers (David) and Lowell Pendley (Sally); his grandchildren, Nicole Clark (Ricky), Candace Parr (Dewayne), Kristie Smith (Brandon), Ashley Woodfin (James), Roman Howton (Hannah), Ryan Howton, Chelsea Morris, Noah Conway and Nickolas Honeycutt; and his great grandchildren, Kierston Smith, Tanner Parr, Courtney Parr, Skye Clark, Mason Parr, Alijah Clark, Myles Woodfin, Sadie Howton and Gentry Woodfin.
