He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Sidney Qualls (Vergie Vera Whidbee); his wife Gladys Powell Qualls; his son Thomas Evans Qualls; and his siblings, James McCoy Qualls and Bobbie Lee Holland.
He is survived by: his children, John "JJ" Hansen of Mobile, AL, Brenda "June" McClendon (Tom) of McDavid, FL, Deborah "Debbie" Dimond (Sean) of Red Level, AL and Lisa Rolin (Kenny) of Atmore, AL. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty- two great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
