She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert Eugene and Gussie Lou Eddins Jackson; her husband Ronald H. Slate, Sr.; her son Ronald H. Slate, II; and her siblings, Anthony Jackson and Evelyn Sullivan.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Slate (Sandra) of Bratt, FL, Tim Slate (Liezel) of Atmore, AL, Rusty Slate (Tracey) of Atmore, AL and Melanie Guy (Thomas) of Atmore, AL; and her grandchildren, DeWayne Slate, Casey Little, Natalie Rodgers, Ronnie Slate, III, Magen Weaver, Jarvis Slate, Bo Slate, John Wayne Slate and T. J. Jarrell. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canoe Church Cemetery Fund.
