He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Thomas Shaddix and Nettie Francis Germany Shaddix; his brothers, Hershel and Jimmy Wayne Shaddix; and his brother-in-law Bobby Royster.
He is survived by: his wife Betty McCain Shaddix; his children, Karen Surrett (Tim), Jeff Shaddix (Vicky) of Ashland and Dale Shaddix (Stephanie) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Christi Haynes (Josh) of Enterprise, Jake Surrett (Teron) of Ashland, Gage Shaddix of Ashland, Grayce Shaddix of Ashland and Kason Shaddix of Ashland; his great grandchildren, Caden Haynes and Rylee Haynes; his sisters, Gail McCain (Willard) of Ashland and Kay Royster of Alexander City; and his sister-in-law Jeannie Shaddix.
