She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Wheeles and Janie Wheeles; her husband A. E. "Pete" Gaither; her siblings, Evelyn Wheeles Henry and Ralph Wheeles; and her children-in-law, Roseanna "Rogie" Gaither and Michael Fisher.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Starr Gaither, Shaunda Gaither Mitchell (Ryan), Sheree Gaither, Ryan Gaither, Sloan Gaither, Logan Fisher, Shea Fisher Buescher (Cameron), Sara Gaither and Sam Pete Gaither; and her siblings, Harold Wheeles, Guy Wheeles, Wilma of Washington and Anita Upchurch. She is also survived by three sons and two daughters in law and one daughter.
