He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lawson Kirkland and Doris Kirkland Williams; and his granddaughter Brooke Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Kirkland of Ashland; his children, Amanda "Mandy" Jackson (Marshall) of Folkston, GA, Scott Lawson Kirkland of Newnan, GA, Jay Skeen of Columbus, GA and Yvette Carr (Jason) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Micah Dean, Fielding Dean, Ashley Kirkland, Cameron Kirkland, Kayla Kirkland, Eric Carr and Jameson Carr; his great grandchildren, Kali, Kari-Marie, Ansley and Lauren; and his cousin Terry Kirkland (Mary).
